Sheet Stretch Forming
Sheet Stretch Forming Overview
Sheet Stretch Forming is commonly used by aircraft builders to manufacture fuselage skin sections from special aerospace aluminum alloy sheets. Cyril Bath sheet stretch forming presses are designed to be both accurate and efficient. Our in-house developed CNC control systems allow for excellent repeatability. In addition, our simulation software is a valuable aide in developing process programs.
Custom press designs utilize both Fixed and Moving Die Tables, Straight or Curving Type Jaws, all with the Cyril Bath CNC Control Systems and Process Simulation Software. In the following pages, you will see an animation of VTL stretch press design, making a part and placing this part on to the aircraft. This animation will give the viewer a quick glimpse of the actual forming process on a Cyril Bath stretch press.
We look forward to working closely with your technical staff in a collaborative manner to define the best solution for your needs. Thank you for your interest in this valuable and exciting technology.
