Elastoforming

Transportation Elastoformed parts

With the Elastoforming, Cyril Bath Company has turned around the old, non-industrial, Rubber-Pad Forming into a modern, highly efficient and accurate metal forming process.

The Elastoforming process is based on a single die tool (either male or female) pressurized against an elastomer pad. The pad, under the very high pressure, forces the blank around the die.

With extremely low tooling investment compare to stamping or drawing, this process is particularly adapted to low and medium volume production. Lead-time and setup are other advantages.

As most successful new technologies, Elastoforming is growing very fast. Cyril Bath Company, both with its range of Elastoforming Machines or with its Forming Department, is serving more and more industries: automotive, truck, motorcycle, appliance, railroad car, and aerospace.
